ENGINITE: 5th Transnational Project Meeting

On Monday, October 14th, the 5th ENGINITE Transnational Project meeting took place at the Youth MakerSpace, in Larnaka (Cyprus). This final meeting, which was organized by GrantXpert, had a three-fold goal: (a) to reflect on the ENGINITE main outcomes and achievements, (b) to discuss the project’s next steps in relation to the final reporting, and (c) to plan the actions to be undertaken for the exploitation and sustainability of the projects’ outcomes.  During the first part of the project Dr Andri Ioannou (Project coordinator, Cyprus University of Technology) provided a thorough overview of the project and the successful milestones achieved to date. In continuation, Mrs Christina Achilleos (EU Funding Consultant, GrantXpert Consulting) as the project’s Dissemination and Quality Assurance Leader, provided an overview of the Dissemination and the Quality & Assurance reports of the project. INTELed: 4th Transnational Project Meeting at UVa, Valladolid (Spain)

The 4th transnational project meeting of the ERASMUS+ project INTELed – INnovative Training via Embodied Learning and multi-sensory techniques for inclusive education – took place with great success on Wednesday 26th at UVa (Valladolid, Spain). The meeting was attended by the project partners: Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), CESIE (Italy), University of Piraeus (Greece), and University of Valladolid (Spain). The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Andri Ioannou (Assistant Professor at the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of the Cyprus University of Technology, as the Scientific Coordinator of the Project). The 2nd INTELed multiplier event in Cyprus

On Saturday, May 25th 2019, the second INTELed multiplier event took place at the Cyprus University of Technology, in Limassol, Cyprus, aiming to disseminate the theoretical and pedagogical framework of INTELed, the philosophy and the goals as well as the main outcomes of the INTELed European project (https://www.inteled.org/). The event was entitled “Promoting inclusive education via embodied learning technologies: The INTELed  Teacher Professional Development programme” and was was co-organized by the Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology  (CIL, https://www.cyprusinteractionlab.com), the Research center on Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging technologies (RISE, http://rise.org.cy) and the Cyprus Association of Teachers for the use of Information and Communications Technologies (https://www.kesea-tpe.org/). The 4th ENGINITE transnational project meeting (M4) in Cyprus

On Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9th and 10th, the 4th ENGINITE Transnational Project meeting took place at the Cyprus Interaction Lab (CUT), in Limassol, Cyprus. The meeting had a two-fold goal: (a) to collect the live feedback of the trainers about the innovative ENGINITE pilot training programme, and (b) to conclude on the project’s next immediate steps. During the first day of the meeting the Dr Andri Ioannou (Project coordinator, Cyprus University of Technology) presented an overview of the project and the successful milestones achieved to date. Fourth meeting of the INTELed Teacher Professional Development Program

The fourth meeting of the INTELed Teacher Professional Development (TPD) program was organized and delivered successfully by the INTELed CUT research team (Dr Andri Ioannou, Dr Yiannis Georgiou, Mrs Nicoletta Pantela), on April 13th 2019, at the Cyprus University of Technology. The meeting was attended by 17 in-service primary education teachers, working with SEN students in mainstream classrooms and special units. The meeting began with a presentation by Dr Yiannis Georgiou (Postdoctoral researcher, Project manager) providing an overview of the INTEled school pilots. The presentation focused on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of the INTELed school pilots, as these had been reported by the participating teacher during individual reflective interviews at the completion of their pilots. The presentation was followed by a reflective activity, moderated by Dr Andri Ioannou, during which the participating INTELed teachers were encouraged to discuss lessons learned from their experiences and share good practices that emerged from the use of the INTELed method in authentic school environments. On Wednesday, April 10th 2019, the first ENGINITE multiplier event took place at the Cyprus University Cyprus, in Limassol, Cyprus. The multiplier event aimed at disseminating the ENGINITE european project (https://www.enginite.eu/) and its goals, as well as the ENGINITE  postgraduate Vocational Education and Training (VET) programme which was based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy.
