The lab owns a humanoid robot – NAO from Aldebaran Robotics.
NAO is currently being used in a couple of research projects. We use NAO as a social mediator during music therapy sessions with high-functioning autistic children and we examine changes in their attitudes and behaviors over time. We further examine pre-schoolers’ caring attitudes and social behavior around NAO when he becomes part of their everyday play.
