On the 6th of October 2021, CYENS Centre of Excellence and GrantXpert Consulting co-delivered the first dissemination event for ENTER_EdTech Erasmus+ project. The event was held in Nicosia, with several esteemed participants attending from the Cypriot entrepreneurship and EdTech ecosystem. The event titled “The Future of Education”, aimed to instigate a discussion around the exploration of opportunities and challenges offered in the EdTech industry for start-uppers and young entrepreneurs interested to invest in the Educational Technology business model.

The event began welcoming the key stakeholders within the Cypriot ecosystem around startups, education, technology, innovation and funding, with opening remarks from the GrantXpert Director, Celia Hadjichristodoulou. Professor Symeon Retalis, PI of the ENTER_EdTech Erasmus+ project, took the lead in introducing the ENTER project and its future plans. Finally, Dr. Nikolas Mastroyiannopoulos, the National chief scientist for Research and Innovation in Cyprus welcomed the event and the initiative. 

The highlight of the evening was an interactive fireside chat, that kept the audience engaged throughout the discussion with esteem panelists:

  • Dr. Maria Solomou: Manager, PwC’s Experience Center and Ed-tech specialist 
  • Dr. Andri Ioannou: MRG Leader CYENS and Cyprus University of Technology Ed-tech Research & Academic Specialist
