Upskilling Creatives in AI: Workshop series March - April 2025
The Upskilling Creatives workshop series brought together 35+ students, recent graduates and other practitioners from Design, Applied Arts, and related fields to explore how Generative AI can be meaningfully integrated into creative practice.
The 3-hour workshops focused on:
- Generative AI Diffusion-Based Models
- The Legal & Critical Perspective
- AI-Powered Design & Workflow
- Prompt Writing
Hosted at the labs of the Departments of Multimedia and Graphic Arts between March and April 2025, the series was led by five expert presenters from academia, industry, and legal practice, and all sessions fostered lively discussion and hands-on experimentation.
Co-funded by the Cyprus University of Technology and CYENS Centre of Excellence, this initiative aims to address the key questions:
